Please help Coco. Such a sweet girl who really deserves a chance.

We rescued Coco from Romania and she travelled to the UK in 2014.

She had been a street dog and was caught by the harsh dog catchers and put in a Government run kennel - a death camp...

Luckily, Rescuing European Animals in Need, a charity that helps these Romanian dogs, got her out of there before she was euthanized and took her to their own kennels in the hope of finding her a home.

I saw her beautiful face on my timeline on Facebook one day, I tried not to look, I tried not to message the rescue, but I just had to....and that was it. Instant love

Coco has been the most loving family member, the perfect dog. Happy and healthy and so grateful for every little thing she is given in life.

But late last night, everything changed for us all.

Out of the blue Coco started having difficulty walking, lost control of her bodily functions and was in dreadful pain.

We rushed to the out of hours vets who examined her but couldn't find anything obviously wrong. She was sent home after pain killing injections.

We sat with her all night but by the early hours she had deteriorated so much she went completely off her back legs.

Again back to the out of hours vet who after examining her again, concluded she had a spinal injury.

We were immediately referred to a neurologist and expert in spinal surgery at a specialist clinic near Derbyshire, an hours drive away.

Coco underwent a thorough neurological examination there and then proceeded to have a CT and MRI scans and spinal tap.

The scans revealed a lot of leaked disc matter in Coco's spinal column which is pressing on her spinal nerve, leaving her paraplegic.

The only option to give her the chance of ever walking again is surgery.

I have to give her that chance but the bill for this surgery is going to reach in the region of £8000 which I have to find by the end of the week before she can come home.

Coco does have insurance but it's not going to cover this massive bill. No where near.

I'm a very proud person and never ever ask for help... but we really need it now.

We are desperate for Coco to have this chance of returning to a normal life... we just want her back home with us where she deserves to be.

I know times are really difficult, but if anyone could spare anything to go towards this bill, no matter how little, it would mean the world to Coco and her family.

Thank you for reading this ❤
