You will find some of the amazing organisations committed to the protection and conservation of our oceans and the wildlife that depend on it.

We have tried to find those groups and organisations that are not only attempting to protect our oceans but those that are engaging with young people in particular. Below you will find website and social media links to those groups under a heading.

This list is neither exhaustive or static and we welcome suggestions from individuals or organisations who would like to be included. This page has a direct link to the book Monty and the Ocean Rescue so is potentially a link to hundreds of new Ocean Saviours.

Ocean Revival 2020 - These are a wonderful organisation who are both proactive and extremely communicative. They have their own page as they have a huge project next year when they attempt to row across the Atlantic. Follow them here, believe me it's well worth it.

Plastic Oceans UK - Plastic Oceans UK have been experts on plastic pollution for a decade, starting with award-winning documentary A Plastic Ocean. It’s been named by Sir David Attenborough as “one of the most important films of our time” and has ignited mass consumer awareness.

Now we have engaged citizens – it’s time to solve the crisis and change attitudes. Our programmes engage multiple audiences on the appropriate use and value of plastics, as we commit to long-lasting change.

Blue Planet Society - Blue Planet Society is a self-funded, volunteer pressure group campaigning to end the overexploitation of the world’s ocean.

Conceived in 2001 to harness the burgeoning power of social media, Blue Planet Society is a new concept in environmental campaigning. With no fixed assets or salaries Blue Planet Society is independent of outside funding or commercial partnerships. Consequently we are able to remain unbiased, with the welfare of the ocean behind our every action.

Paws on Plastic -  This is such a fabulous and brilliantly simple idea which is easily accessible to so many people. There is no need for major planning, you simply pick up 2 pieces of plastic while walking with your dog and post the lovely picture on the Facebook group. This is really a wonderful initiative for all.

I'm sure this is only going to get bigger and get more recognition, and rightly so.
